Young Organists

The Nashville Chapter of the AGO has begun several initiatives to encourage young organists to be an active part of our chapter. We are offering

  1. To pay the dues for membership in the national and Nashville Chapter of the AGO.
  2. One full scholarship to attend a five-day summer POE (Pipe Organ Encounter for ages 13-18) or a POE+ (Pipe Organ Encounter Plus for ages 19 and up for those attending college).
  3. A limited number of partial scholarships for organ lessons except for those who are taking organ lessons for college credit.
  4. A limited number of $50 stipends to purchase organ music.

For our purposes we consider young organists to be those who have an interest in the organ and are pursuing organ lessons or hope to do so and are of elementary, high school, or college age either being home schooled or attending school in the middle Tennessee area.
